Is this a small/cell group?
“There is a distinction between cell groups and home [house] churches. Cell groups are linked to one another in some type of structured network. Often this network is linked to a larger, single church identity. Home [house] churches may look the same as cell groups, but they generally are not organized under a single authority or hierarchy of authorities. As autonomous units, house churches may lack the unifying structure of cell churches, but they are typically more dynamic.”

In his article, “What Is A Cell?”, Joel Comiskey identifies that “Small groups and cells have become commodities in today’s church. The word cell has become a “throw-away term.” When someone mentions a cell, what registers is a Bible study, a social gathering, a Sunday school class or anything else (as long as it’s small and a group). And many “cell models” are even adding to this thinking by liberally sprinkling the word cell over all groups in their church. ”
We are a departure from the traditional church in order to refocus on the structure that Jesus set up during his ministry on the earth and replicated by Peter’s house to house ministry (see Acts 2:42 NASB). Jesus said, “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” (Matthew 18:20 NASB). There were no pastors/clergy, denominations or spectators/laity. Our desire is to bring back the family nature of the church to unify believers and empower them to multiply the Kingdom of God.
